The Buzz Bin: A Place to Bury Strangers

What easier way to find great new music than seeing what people bought when purchasing albums on iTunes, sure you will sometimes get misdirected and sometimes its an obvious pull but sometimes you just might get a sweet surprise! Such was the case of my recent find while buying Autolux's latest single Audience No. 2.
A Place to Bury Strangers, (p) 2007 Killer Pimp
Drawing inspiration from shoegaze, classic indie rock, and atmospheric and dark sounds of all stripes, the Brooklyn-based trio A Place to Bury Strangers consists of Oliver Ackermann, Jay Space, and Jono Mofo. Forming out of the ashes of the like-minded Skywave, A Place to Bury Strangers has a darker, slightly heavier and more experimental approach than its previous incarnation. The band made a splash in 2006, recording and playing gigs with Read Yellow, Bravo Silva, the Funeral Crashers, and the Brian Jonestown Massacre.

and listen to a few tracks. Ocean has been getting radio play on Indie 103.1 FM. Also, look for the band to open for Nine Inch Nails on the first leg of their tour. Not so coincidentally Nine Inch Nails has taken great new indie bands on tour such as: Autolux, TV on The Radio and Deerhunter.
